AccelerateATX is a team competing in the STEM Racing Championship based out of Austin, Texas. Founded two years ago by Beckett Raftus, the team has quickly made a name for themselves. In their first year competing, they secured 4th place at the 2024 STEM Racing US National Finals, and additionally took home the award for Best Pit Display. This year at the STEM Racing 2024-25 Central United States Regional Finals, they won the Best Sponsorship and Marketing Award and were crowned the Central Regional Champions and the Texas State Champions .

While most Stem Racing teams come from one school, our team is composed of a diverse group of high school teenagers coming from all across Austin. Four of our team members attend the Liberal Arts and Science Academy, one attends Westwood High School, and one is homeschooled. While they don’t all attend the same school, their drive for success, ability to think outside the box, and differing skillsets complement one another, which has made them a perfect team.

This year, AccelerateATX has set their sights higher - to finish in the top 3 at the STEM Racing National Finals and have the honor of advancing to the STEM Racing World Finals later this year. AccelerateATX is determined to represent both Austin, Texas, and the United States, while also showcasing their talents on the world stage.

AccelerateATX’s journey is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see where it takes us in the future. At the moment, we have our foot to the floor accelerating towards a great result at the 2025 STEM Racing National Finals!
