Walking into Race Week
We’re excited to share that we’ve received our Regionals team shirts! Between now and our Regional competition, we will wear these to all team activities.
Thankfully, our shirts arrived just in time for us to wear them to a series of upcoming events. In the lead-up to this weekend’s United States Grand Prix, we had a whirlwind of a week.
On Wednesday night, the team attended a Mechanics Party, where we let attendees race 3D-printed models of our cars. This was a great way to market our team and increase interest in AccelerateATX and STEM Racing. Through this event, we grew our audience by about 50 followers.
On Thursday, a few of our team members visited a McLaren event, where they interacted with other fans, collected some fun McLaren merchandise, and tried their hands at a VR Pit Stop Challenge.
The whole team then had the opportunity to attend the Circuit of the Americas track to watch the Free Practice and Sprint Qualifying on Friday. All of us, particularly our new team members, were amazed to see all the cars flying by and were in awe when Max Verstappen took the pole position for the Sprint Race.
On Saturday, STEM Racing gave us the wonderful chance to present to one of their most prominent sponsors, Aligned Data Centers. We spoke about our team, mission, cars, and the benefits of STEM Racing, and were thankful that our presentation was followed by various questions from our very engaged audience.
Finally, we wrapped up the week on Sunday by watching the race on TV together. It was incredible to see Max Verstappen win the US Grand Prix, all while we enjoyed some delicious pizza courtesy of VIA 313.
It has been such an amazing week, and we are so grateful for all of the opportunities we have had!
